Position: QA Consultant
Type: Day-rate contract
Location: Dublin/Hybrid

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled QA Consultant on behalf of our client, a leading organisation based in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through structured testing, analysis, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability
- Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API platforms, ensuring compliance with business and technical requirements
- Identify, document, and track defects through the defect management process, ensuring timely resolution
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to refine requirements and promote best practices in software quality
- Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements, automation strategies, and testing tools
Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong, proven experience in a software testing or QA role
- Excellent knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including functional, regression, UAT, and performance testing
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestComplete
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) and version control systems (Git)
- ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent is highly desirable
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail
