Vertiv’s facility in Letterkenny, Ireland, is a key hub for the design and manufacture of modular data centre solutions, supporting global customers across data centres, telecommunications, and industrial sectors. The site specialises in integrated power infrastructure, including switchgear, busbar systems, power distribution, and energy management solutions.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in Letterkenny, County Donegal. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of key projects, ensuring successful delivery from initial concept through to completion and handover.
You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Experience within electrical or technical environments would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from inception through design review, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and resources to ensure delivery in line with programme and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identifying risks or issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Attend site and client meetings to ensure progress is maintained and expectations are met.
- Manage procurement processes, including requisitioning, tracking delivery, and maintaining audit trails.
- Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and clear communication.
- Track project costs, expenditure, and performance, maintaining strong commercial control.
- Take responsibility for overall project delivery, including financial and management aspects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a project management role (construction, engineering, or similar environment).
- Experience managing subcontractors, site activities, and project programmes.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commercially aware with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
- Experience in electrical, M&E, or technical projects would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence required.
